NOTES:

·         The students of SC/ST category of Punjab shall pay only Rs 700/- at the time of admission, subject to the condition that family annual income is less than Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two lakh rupees)

 

·         Such students shall not pay any other semester fee at the institute through out the duration of the course, but are required to pay the examination charges from time to time. In case a candidate not having the proof of the income shall pay the fee as per other categories.

 

·         The security amount deposited by the candidates shall be refunded to them on successful completion of Diploma course.

 

·         Candidates will have to pay the Board’s Examination fee for each Semester or other charges or as decided by the Board from time to time.

·         The fee of the next semester will be payable in advance in the month of November and May preceding the examination of the current semester every year by the date notified by the Principal failing which a fine of Rs.50 per week will be levied. If the fee remains outstanding for more than a month, his /her name will be struck off the rolls and may seek re-admission on payment by him/her of re-admission fee of Rs. 100 in addition to usual fine up to the date on which the name was struck off.

 

·         For Management Quota seats, candidates will have to pay the Board’s charges of Rs. 1250.00 or as decided by the Board from time to time. Hence the total payment will br as under:

SCHOLARSHIPS/ FEE REFUND OF WELFARE DEPARTMENT

 

          THE FOLLOWING SCHOLARSHIPS/ FEE REFUND ARE BEING AWARDED BY DIRECTOR, TECHNICAL EDUCATION, PUNJAB

1.    Centrally sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Schedules Castes: Students belonging to Scheduled Castes/Tribes who are bonafide residents of Punjab and the income of the parents of such students from all sources does not exceed Rs. Two lakhs are entitled for scholarship and refund of tuition fee and non-refundable compulsory fee. The following documents in original need to be attached  with the application: (a) Scheduled caste certificate issued by the Tehsildar,(b) Punjab residence certificate issued by Tehsildar,(c) Income affidavit duly attested by the Executive Magistrate on a non-judicial stamp paper in original in the prescribed form. Maintenance allowance of Rs. 380 per month for Hosteller and Rs.230 per month for day-scholar will be payable to the student. Such a student shall pay only Rs. 700/- at the time of admission.

*Affidavit is to be executed by the Father only. Affidavit from the mother will be accepted in case she is widowed or divorcee and the affidavit is accompanied with death certificate issued by the Registrar of Births & Death or divorce decree, as the case may be.

* If the father is an employee, his salary statement must be accompanied with the Affidavit.

*Original certificates – Caste Certificate, Punjab Residence Certificate and Income Affidavit signed by Executive Magistrate etc. will be retained by the College till instructions of Director Technical Education and Industrial Training, (Technical Education wing) Punjab, Chandigarh are received to return the certificates to the candidate.

*The student must fill in the Post-Matric Scholarship form (available in the office) for fresh candidates and the renewal form for next year(s) within one month of starting of classes.

*A student who do not submit his/her Post-Matric Scholarship form complete in all respects within one month, he/she will pay full fee within one week failing which his/her name will be struck off  the rolls.

* Scholarship forms of Scheduled caste students belonging to Other States will be forwarded to the Direcor Social Welfare Department of the respective State within one month of his/her joining the college.

*No student will be permitted to leave the course till its completion.

Centrally sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBCs: Students belonging  to Other Backward Classes  (OBCs) who are bonafide residents of Punjab and the income of the parents of such students from all sources does not exceed Rs. 44,500 are entitled for refund of non-refundable fee. The following documents in original need to be attached  with the application: (a) Other Backward Classes  certificate issued by the Tehsildar,(b) Punjab residence certificate issued by Tehsildar, (c) Income certificate in original in the prescribed form. Maintenance allowance of Rs.290 per month for Hosteller and Rs. 190 per month for day-scholar will be payable to the student.

*The student must fill in the Post-matric Scholarship  form (available in the office) for fresh candidates and the renewal form next year(s) within one month of starting of classes.

**Original certificates – Caste Certificate, Punjab Residence Certificate and Income certificates are to be attached with the Scholarship form which will be sent to the Director Technical Education and Industrial Training, (Technical Education wing) Punjab, Chandigarh.

2.    Denotified Tribes: Students belonging to Other Backward Classes/Denotified Tribes (Vimukat Jatis)   who are bonafide residents of Punjab and the income of the parents of such students from all sources does not exceed Rs. 5,000 are entitled for scholarship. The following documents in original need to be attached with the application: (a) Denotified Tribes certificate issued by the Tehsildar, (b) Punjab residence certificate issued by Tehsildar, (c) Income affidavit in original. Maintenance allowance of Rs. per month for Hosteller and Rs. 157 per month for day-scholar will be payable to the student.

3.    Scholarships / financial benefits are also given by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh. The student must apply within the specified period.

4.    Besides, a number of scholarships such as under Minority community scheme of Govt. of India, other charitable Trusts etc. are available. The student must apply within the specified period.

5.    Free book facility is available in the college.

6.    Needy students may avail bank loans for which college extends all possible guidance and assistance.

FEE WAIVER SCHEME

The college will admit eligible candidates under the Fee Waiver Scheme in compliance with the rules, regulations, instructions and Policy of All India Council for Technical Education, Punjab Government and Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh. Students admitted under this scheme will have to deposit their original certificates with the college which will be returned to him/her after the completion of course.
